My Niagara St. Catharines & Toronto Railway freight motors need a home so I’ve started work on the Welland Avenue car barn in St. Catharines. I’m using brick sheet from Rail Scale Models and modified Tichy windows. So far, so good.

Thanks. I am very happy with the progress and I like the mix of doors and windows on the prototype. It’s been a good challenge – especially for my first scratch built brick structure.
Those are some gorgeous looking walls. There is something to be said for larger scales where more of the detail can be noticeable. Love the progress being made.
This is developing into a great looking structure

Thanks, Stephen. Given that you’re the master of brick, that’s quite the compliment!

Looking good! Do you stick the brick sheets onto something, or are they thick enough?

The car barn is looking great Trevor. I’d love to see more detail of how you build if you can.

Thanks! I plan to write an article for RMC so – assuming it gets accepted – you’ll get all the details there.
Cheers!
